Service Delivery System: Utilizes a social rehabilitation model
Population Served: Riverside County’s Homeless and those at risk of homelessness; including individuals over 18, families, and children. Services are provided to those in need outside the catchments area on an emergency basis.
Organizational Structure:
- 14 member volunteer Board of Directors reflecting the cultural and socio-economic composition of the community.
- An Executive Director with 29 years of experience in Human Services, specifically in the areas of Alcohol/Drug and Mental Health treatment.
- The Restart staff includes both full time and part time staff, interns and two independent contracted licensed Social Workers.
- Valley Restart is a community project utilizing volunteers, who provided over 33,094 volunteer hours last year. We collaborate with 23 churches, the local community college, National Indian Council on Aging, Alternative Sentencing program, Department of Public Social Services, local business, social and civic organizations.

Fiscal Information: Annual audits are performed by the CPA firm of Smith Marion. Most recent audit available for fiscal year end June 2002.
Public Relations: Public Relations and Community information are an on-going focus of the agency. Meetings with city, county, state and other local government occur routinely to keep them informed. Both Volunteer, Community and Meal Provider Appreciation Luncheons are held annually. The agency has been recognized by numerous organizations in the community for its services. Presentations are given to all interested groups as requested.

Restart exists to assist those in need of services become self sufficient contributing members of our community. The agency is continuously reviewing and searching for funds, donations, and support to expand, enhance, improve or add additional program components.
