Friends of the Shelter
Where has the year gone? As I grow older the expression, “Time Flies” takes on greater meaning. It has been a year of renewed patriotism, greater awareness of those less fortunate than ourselves, a time of coming together for a greater cause. The year following the tragedies at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon heightened for all of us the importance of helping our brethren in need. I believe we all have looked inside ourselves in the past years and spent time in reflection for all the wonderful gifts we have.

Not all people are as fortunate as others and need support and services from their community. This is especially true for the participants at Restart.

This is the time of year many of us open our wallets and give generously to charity to help a cause but more importantly because we believe it will help people. When planning your year end charitable giving, please remember those children, families and individuals right here in your own Hemet San Jacinto Valley who are homeless and in need. Restart provides food, shelter, housing, counseling, employment programs, and so so much more. I personally believe even more importantly we offer a place of refuge where individuals and families can find caring support, concerned staff, safety, and most importantly HOPE for their tomorrows.

We are a non-profit 501c3 corporation and donations are tax deductible. We have been serving the needy in the valley since 1989 and the support of our community has enabled us to grow, expand and improve our services. Your continued support is always needed and sincerely appreciated. We will provide a tax contribution letter for all donations as evidence of your support.

Valley Restart’s Friends of the Shelter contribution form is included in all newsletters. Please remove the Friends of the Shelter section and give generously this month and every month next year. We appreciate all donations large and small. If all our newsletter recipients participated with a $20/month donation we would receive over $100,000 a year to teach…to train…to restart lives.
